Palma de Mallorca is the island's bustling capital city and stands alongside the Bay of Palma, on the southwesterly side of the island. Palma is also the main gateway to Mallorca, featuring an impressive airport, which remains busy throughout the year. The city of Palma de Mallorca has long been a major holiday resort, offering everything a holidaymaker could desire, and more.

Along the northwestern coast of Mallorca you will find a number of popular resorts, including Illa Sa Dragonera, Sóller, Pollenca and Valldemossa. Mallorca's northeasterly coast is home to just one main resort, Alcúdia, which lies in the scenic Bay of Alcúdia, while the southeastern side of Mallorca contains a number of lively resorts, with Cala Mondragó being the most popular.
